DAY 4 - STROLLING THROUGH THE BEAUTY OF SOUTHERN TAMILNADU

I woke up early and took some snaps of egrets in our village which were settled in a tree. The tree looked white when the egrets were there. I went upstairs to the terrace for seeing the windmills around our village. The windmills were rotating so fast that we can hear the massive sound of them.  The wind wall also equal in power to the windmills.

My grandfather and father decided to go to our village sasta temple and continued our trip. We also worshipped temple and saw the level of our village pond.

I asked my grandpa who planted the peepel tree there. He started saying that he and his friends planted it when they were young and taken care of it.

When we turned to see the beautiful sky we spotted a brahminy kite and my grandpa told that this kite coming there was little strange.

My grandpa asked me to click him with a horse statue. I asked him for the reason. He said that that the horse was bought and kept by him.

I also took some pictures. All of them asked me to take snaps of them. I also did it. I asked my grandpa to go to pond and we put the water drops on our head.

I gave my camera to my mother and she also took photos of the movements. Then we started our trip.

When we went to the outskirts of our village we spotted some black ibis and we took some pictures.

After sometime my father got a call and on the right side I saw a small pond. Then I got into the pond in search of birds but I stopped at an egret and another type bird which were standing near to each other.

Then I told my parents that I was going to take some rest but after some 5 minutes my parents had spotted a bird like woodpecker. I went near to it and took some snaps and atlast it was a hoopoe.

Then I gave my camera to my mother and I went asleep for 1 hour.

My mother tapped me and woke me up to take some photos of a bird which had a body of grey and a beak of grey and black mixture. Nearby that there were many birds of different colour which made the place colourful and beautiful.

We stopped at a place with had a restaurant and a juice shop. We entered  the juice shop where I bought a badam shake which was super. After a km we spot a peculiar bridge which contains a pipe with freshwater which is not seen in other areas.

After 2 hours we reached my mother’s friend’s farm which was an orchid farm. The name of the farm is Rynco Orchid near Thuccaley and owned by Ramakrishnan Uncle. On entering the farm we relaxed for some time and took a walk around the farm.

On the way I captured beautiful orchid flowers and many other trees and plants which I couldn’t identify but simply superb in my camera. After that he took us to a kennel where eight dogs were there. My cousin was scared because they were looking like hounds. I too was scared on hearing that they were very ferocious and hence afraid to capture them in my camera. He took us to the nearby hamlet where we were served with a homely Keralite lunch with big rice. Then we came back to the farm and had a chat in his office.

Then he asked us to change to swimming costume. We were confused by his words and we expected for a swimming pool. He took us through the shady rubber trees which was so tall.

He said that there would be snakes. When my cousin heard these words he was stunned and scared.  Then we all walked with caution. Suddenly we heard the voice of the water in the shady woods. We meandered by seeing and feeling the peaceful surrounding. Finally we got to the destination; the destination was a small natural waterfall with a jumble of a pool and a stream. We were excited and got into the water. My mother was on the land and taking photographs.

First I was scared to swim in the natural pool because one side of the pool was shallow and another side was deep but my father asked me to swim to him. I then started to do the strokes which I knew (floating, backstroke and front stroke).

On seeing this, my grandpa also joined us in the pool and started swimming.

We had a great time spending there. Then returned to his office and had a cup of tea with cakes and biscuits. We bid good bye to Ramakrishnan uncle with a cheerful smile.

We traveled in Ramakrishnan Uncle's car to the place where we have stopped our car. We bid good bye to the driver uncle and shifted to our car.

On return we saw many lily ponds.

On the way back to our native village, we entered into Padmanabhapuram Village and had a roam about in the car and we planned to go to the palace next time.

Finally return back to our native village.
